The OneFamily Podcast
Families connected to the US Foster Care system face many challenges. Vulnerable and at-risk families need continued support to rise above their situation and raise their children in a healthy way. Foster and adoptive families also need support to help them do what God calls them to do. Relative caregivers must be supported as they step into the role of caring for their grandchildren. This support provides stability for these families who are on the frontlines.
OneFamily's mission is to engage, equip, and empower bio families, foster families, adoptive families, and relative caregivers through wholehearted community support. Because when the community supports its families, the families within that community flourish.

Episode 2 | Who Are You & Why Are You Here?
In this episode, Stephen Hogue from OneFamily discusses the organization’s mission to support and empower local churches in assisting families impacted by the foster care system. Stephen introduces the first part of a three-part series focusing on the three pillars of parenting, which are identity, authority, and availability. He emphasizes the importance of understanding one's identity as a child of God, rather than being defined by performance or perceived worthlessness. Stephen shares biblical references, such as John 8 and Romans 8:15, to highlight that as believers, we are valuable, made in God's image, and have an inherent purpose. He underscores that knowing one's identity and purpose can prevent falling into various forms of addiction and lead to a fulfilled life. Stephen closes by inviting listeners to explore OneFamily’s work and consider supporting their mission in the foster care community.
