The OneFamily Podcast
Families connected to the US Foster Care system face many challenges. Vulnerable and at-risk families need continued support to rise above their situation and raise their children in a healthy way. Foster and adoptive families also need support to help them do what God calls them to do. Relative caregivers must be supported as they step into the role of caring for their grandchildren. This support provides stability for these families who are on the frontlines.
OneFamily's mission is to engage, equip, and empower bio families, foster families, adoptive families, and relative caregivers through wholehearted community support. Because when the community supports its families, the families within that community flourish.

Episode 30 | Building Arrows
In this powerful episode, Stephen Hogue dives into Psalm 127 and shares a vision for parenting that goes far beyond raising “successful” children. Drawing from his book Building Arrows, Stephen challenges parents and grandparents to see their sons and daughters as arrows in a warrior’s hand—crafted, sharpened, and released to make an eternal impact.
With biblical insight, practical wisdom, and personal stories from his own family and ministry, Stephen unpacks:
- Why children are a gift and reward from the Lord, not a burden.
- How to partner with God to build your home instead of striving alone.
- The three parts of an arrow and what they reveal about discipline, nurture, and balance in parenting.
- Encouragement and hope for parents of prodigals—the “grace for fallen arrows.”
- How to stand guard at the gates of your home and declare God’s promises over your family.
Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, or mentor, this episode will inspire you to raise up children who are equipped for the spiritual battles of our time.
